Meet dr. tommy
Dr. Tommy grew up in Warren, Rhode Island, where his love for sports like football and wrestling first introduced him to both chiropractic care and strength and conditioning.
After starting a business degree at West Virginia University, and quickly realizing it was not where he wanted to be or what he wanted to study, he changed course.
He decided to lean - 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗱 - into the advice, to “study what you love”, and graduated from the University of Rhode Island in 2016 with a degree in Applied Exercise Science, where he learned the basics of health sciences and practical strategies for fitness promotion.
For two years Dr. Tommy worked as a personal trainer and quickly noticed a trend: his clients, especially adults, were 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗵𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗰 𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗻 using specific, targeted exercise. People talked about “𝙛𝙚𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙢𝙮𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙛 𝙖𝙜𝙖𝙞𝙣”, and 𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙬𝙚𝙙 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙛𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 in their bodies. Seeing how powerful this was, but wanting to know and do more, he was inspired to pursue his doctorate in chiropractic.
In 2021, Dr. Tommy graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic West, ready to combine his background in fitness with his chiropractic education. After graduating, he ran a traditional chiropractic clinic for two years and though it was a good experience and he was able to help a lot of people, the drawbacks of this system became more and more apparent over time. It always felt like he had more to give the patient, and less and less time to do so. This lead to the conception of 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗟𝗮𝘄 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰.
Dr. Tommy continues to coach strength and conditioning with the Providence Barbell Club, and is a powerlifter who has squatted and deadlifted 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝟱𝟬𝟬𝗹𝗯𝘀, proving he is no stranger to committing to long term plans to achieve worthy goals.
